Opens Friday 30th August – closes Sunday 20th October
The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group, made up of local volunteers and town councillor’s, is seeking your views on the final draft of the Wallingford Neighbourhood Plan. The Council has been working on the Plan for four years and many people have already given their thoughts and ideas. This is the final opportunity to share your thoughts before the Plan is submitted to South Oxfordshire District Council for Examination.
The Plan is for the period up to 2034 and it sets out objectives and policies.
South Oxfordshire District Council also require that the Plan identify land for new homes and employment use and the Plan is proposing to allocate site E at Winterbrook for 502 homes and 3.1 Hectare of employment land off Lester Way at Hithercroft. Planning applications have already been made on both these sites.
An open public session will be held at the Ridgeway Community Centre on Saturday 28th September where members of the Steering Group will be available to answer questions. Please revisit this website nearer the date for further details.
Responses, whether electronic or hardcopy, will be handled according to Wallingford Town Council’s Data Handling Policy. Responses from individual residents will be considered confidential. Responses from organisations and statutory consultees will be attributed to that body. Responses will be stored only for the purposes of updating this Neighbourhood Plan document and no details will be shared with any other organisation or individual outside of the Steering Group. The Steering Group will not necessarily reply to responses and will only do so where it seeks clarification of points raised to better understand how the Plan might be updated. The Steering Group will not enter in to extended dialogue with respondents.
