Do you love live theatre? Would you like to share your passion with other like-minded folk?
Then you may be just the person to help Wallingford Theatre Club get going again after lockdown.
Wallingford Theatre Club, which has members across the whole Wallingford area, including Didcot, is keen to get started again after its enforced inactivity because of Covid. The Club exists to organise coach trips to various theatres to watch live performances and share the experience with others. Favorite theatres club members have visited including the Richmond Theatre and the Orange Tree in Richmond. Following lockdown, the theatre club finds itself without someone to organise the purchase of group tickets from various theatres ; keep an eye out for and select plays and theatres that would be suitable for members and liaise with the box offices.
The reward? The satisfaction of enabling fellow drama enthusiasts to visit theatres to see plays that they might not see otherwise. There is also a modest honorarium to cover out of pockets expenses.
If you are interested and think you could help, please get in touch with the Theatre Club chairperson, Sue White (email : sueandterrywhite@ntlworld.com) or telephone Sue on 01491 200978, to find more details on what is involved.
