The town is well served by local bus operator Thames Travel with regular services to Oxford, Reading, Henley and Didcot and to many of the surrounding villages. You can view the Thames Travel timetables here.
Train services are available to and from the village of Cholsey (just over 2 miles away) and Didcot Parkway (6 miles). There are frequent services from both stations to London Paddington, Reading and Oxford. Services to the West Country and Wales also operate from Didcot Parkway.
If you prefer coach, cycle, boat or air travel
There is a convenient coach passenger pick-up and drop-off point on the High Street, across the road from the Wallingford Museum. Coaches can park at Hithercroft Sports Park, except weekends and the Queens Head pub in Crowmarsh by appointment.
Wallingford lies on Sustran’s popular Thames Valley cycle route, which starts at Putney Bridge in London and goes on to Oxford, taking in Maidenhead, Reading, Abingdon and Wallingford. 40 of the route’s 99 miles are traffic-free. .
