How to stand for Town Council

Town Council Elections

The councillors are elected every four years, with the last elections being held in May 2019.  Vacancies which arise between elections, known as a casual vacancy, are filled by by-elections or by the Town Council choosing new councillors (co-option).

To become a councillor you must be over 18 and live or work in Wallingford.

Due to a vacancy on the Council there will be a by- election on 5th September 2019.

Please see here for the list of candidates.
