How to stand for Town Council

Town Council Elections

The councillors are elected every four years, with the last elections being held in May 2015.  Vacancies which arise between elections, known as a casual vacancy, are filled by by-elections or by the Town Council choosing new councillors (co-option).

To become a councillor you must be over 18 and live or work in Wallingford.

Councillor Vacancies

The Town Council has received the resignation of one of its 16 Councillors and as a result there is now a vacancy on the Town Council for one co-opted Councillor. Please see here for more details
