Wallingford Town Council Appoints New Town Clerk
At its Town Council meeting held on the 28 June 2021, the Council promoted Michelle Taylor who is currently the Responsible Finance Officer to the role of Town Clerk/ Responsible Finance Officer from 1 July 2021. Michelle has previous experience as a Parish Clerk/RFO and the Council wish her every success in her new career.
The Town Council also approved the positions of a part time Finance Assistance and also a full time Estates Officer for an initial years contract. The Estates Officer will oversee the many buildings that the Council manages on behalf of the Town Council and the Bullcroft Trust.
The Town Mayor, Cllr Marcus Harris states:
Having worked closely with Michelle in her role as Responsible Finance Officer (RFO) I was delighted that Council accepted the recommendation to promote from within. Michelle will combine the role of Town Clerk and RFO which is an exciting change in directions for us, she has a great energy and vision and I’m looking forward to working with her on some exciting projects during my remaining term as Mayor.
