The Temporary Road Closure which was due to take place in Norries Drive on August 13th has now been cancelled by the applicant and will not go ahead until further notice.

Wallingford Town Council Appoints New Town Clerk

At its Town Council meeting held on the 28 June 2021, the Council promoted  Michelle Taylor who is currently the Responsible Finance Officer to the role of Town Clerk/ Responsible Finance Officer from 1 July 2021.  Michelle has previous experience as a Parish Clerk/RFO and the Council wish her every success in her new career.

The Town Council also approved the positions of a part time Finance Assistance and also a full time Estates Officer for an initial years contract. The Estates Officer will oversee the many buildings that the Council manages on behalf of the Town Council and the Bullcroft Trust.

Temporary Road Closure Notice - St George's Road 9th August to 27th August

Temporary Road Closure Notice for St George's Road in Wallingford from 9th August with anticipated finish date of 29th August.

This is a 24 hour per day closure. This is to facilitate essential S278 road works to be carried out.. Suggested alternative routes : St Georges Road, Clapcot Way, St Nicholas Road and Wilding Road.
