To resolve that the minutes from the Planning Committee meeting on the 11th April 2022 as set out on pages 216 to 223 of the minute book are a true record of the meeting and authorise the Chairman to sign them (previously circulated to Members):

694/21. NEW STREET NAME SUGGESTIONS FOR PHASE 3 OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF CALVIN THOMAS WAY

Members to discuss whether they would like to continue the Wallingford Castle street name theme for phase 3 or, whether they would like to choose a different theme or just suggest 6 new road names for phase 3

It was announced Council had a previous preferred list of street names that had been resolved by Council and members asked the Town Clerk if she was able to locate this for members to review. Members also requested a further four local artist names were added for future allocation.

Actions:

·       Town Clerk to locate street name list

·       Councillor Hendrie to forward the four local artist names to the office for   allocation

·       Office to forward suggested names to SODC

Members discussed the close proximity of the current garage to the neighbouring property, of which if built up would block out their natural light

It was proposed by Councillor Hughes, seconded by Councillor Whelan and RESOLVED THAT this Committee recommends to object to this application due to the loss of light to the neighbouring property

It was proposed by Councillor Hughes, seconded by Councillor Hendrie and RESOLVED THAT this Committee recommends to support this application subject to the original conditions that were put forward being addressed in regards to lighting, the transport plan does not include Queens Avenue as a public access route and plans are revised for an additional crossing on Wantage Road near Queens Avenue
