529/22 MARKET BRIDGE AND FOOTPATH
Councillor Hendrie reported on a meeting she had attended on behalf of the Town Council about plans for local footpaths and their impact on the extant Market Bridge which Wallingford Borough Council had constructed in 1911 using the services of Messrs Brasher & Sons and probably Walter Wilder & Sons. The earliest council records identified a bridge there from 1715.
A cast iron decking remained with a layer of concrete on top.
It was proposed by Councillor Hendrie, and seconded by Councillor Lester, and RECOMMENDED that what is left of Market Bridge be retained and incorporated into the footpath and that no additional lighting be installed given that the ambient lighting is sufficient

There were no consultation matters to consider.

There had been no discharges by South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) recently.
532/22 PLANNING DECISIONS
The Committee NOTED recent planning decisions by South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) which were all in line with the Town Council’s recommendations.
533/22 FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
The following items were identified as future agenda items:
- Pre-application discussion for land owned by Purely Nurseries Busy Baskets, provided the owner/developer meets the requirements of the Town Council’s pre-application protocols (scheduled for 13 February 2023)
- Highcroft (Site B) – update by developers following meeting with residents adjoining the site
- Highcroft (Site B) – OCC and Diocese to be invited to talk about the primary school
- Upgrade on Cholsey Waste Water – rolling item
- Update on planned developments in Thames Street (Nos. 5-7), adjoining the Boat Club
- Neon and other signage used by retailers in the town, especially the Market Place (Cllr Hendrie)
