Help for people who cannot visit the library themselves

A local service bringing the library to those who can't get to the library. Our trained volunteers will deliver books, audio books and DVDs as well as a friendly hello. Household Support Fund

The Household Support Fund (HSF) is now open and offering support through a voucher scheme from South Oxfordshire District Council. People who are struggling to pay for food, energy, water bills and other related expenses can contact Citizens Advice on 0808 278 7907 / hsf@osavcab.org.uk to apply for support. They will refer all successful applicants to receive vouchers from the councils’ Community Hub.

Do you need help?

If you live in Wallingford or the surrounding villages, have no access to personal transport and are unable to use public transport we may be able to help. Our volunteers can drive you to medical appointments, wait for the duration of the treatment and then take you home. We also offer transport for visits to the optician, dentist, podiatrist and essential shopping. Please do give us a call on 01491 836345. The office is open Monday – Thursday 9.30 to 11.30

Wellbeing Walks - Monday's - The Bull Croft Park at 10am

The Active Communities Team at SODC hold Wellbeing Walks which is a national program run by The Ramblers aiming for everyone to access a friendly short group walk within easy reach of where they can live to help them become and stay active. Meeting at The Bull Croft Park on Monday's at 10am.

Knit and Natter (Thursdays)

Knit and Natter on Thursdays (12:30pm - 2pm) at the Community Café (where the old Ridgeway bookshop was) and enjoy a cup of tea and cake with your work in progress.
